In the nearly 50 years since we opened our first retail office and laboratory in Sterling Heights, Michigan, we’ve continuously improved our eyewear to better serve you, while exceeding expectations. Our History of Quality People
At SVS Vision, we view our people as our greatest strength. We believe that employee retention is a cornerstone of our success and a testament to our work culture. Over half of the 600+ committed employees who make up the SVS Vision team have been with us for more than fifteen years – and many have been here for twenty and even thirty years – allowing us to better serve our communities. As a result, we really get to know the eye care needs of the families we serve year after year, and generation after generation.
Our Optical Lab
At SVS Vision, we have an enduring legacy of assembling and inspecting our eyewear by hand with the utmost care by our expert technicians. Racquet Up Detroit
SVS Vision believes in Detroit. Racquet Up Detroit is an out-of-school youth development program that uses the sport of squash – in combination with fitness, academic support, community service, college exposure, summer opportunities, and mentoring – to make a difference in the lives of Detroit youth. Since 2010, we have helped Racquet Up Detroit to enable over 500 students to receive eye exams, protective eyewear, and to support their academic success on and off the court.
Kids See Free Promotion
SVS Vision believes in kids. In 2019, SVS Vision locations in the Grand Rapids and Ohio communities provided essential eye exams and glasses to children 18 years of age and younger for free.
Toys for Tots
The employees of SVS Vision believe the success of children starts at home. That’s why each holiday season SVS Vision employees team up with Toys for Tots to provide toys to children in our local communities.
